-November 2020-

There’s a quote by Mary Oliver that hangs by my desk: “To pay attention, this is our endless and proper work.”

This Thanksgiving I think it’s worth celebrating the ways in which 2020 has re-focused our attention around what is core to us—as individuals and as a society. This is a story about the lesson I learned about paying attention vs. seeking attention, while walking 500 miles across Spain.

Thank you to the Sanger Leadership Center and Design+Business at Michigan Ross for the chance to reflect on my Camino and sabbatical experience alongside four other incredible storytellers.
